The Houses into Homes scheme, funded by the Welsh Government offers loans to renovate, improve and convert empty properties for use as residential accommodation. Eligible properties can receive an interest free loan of up to £25,000 per unit of accommodation.
Applications can be made by owners, companies or third sector organisations and in order to be eligible, properties must have been empty for 6 months or more at the time of application. On completion of the works, owners have an option either to rent the property or to sell it.

Funded by Welsh Government, the Home Improvement Loan offers interest-free short to medium term loans to help eligible owner occupiers, landlords and third sector organisations to improve the condition of residential property.
Loans of up to £25,000 per unit of accommodation can be considered to fund the cost of works necessary to make owner-occupied and rented properties 'warm, safe and secure'.
All applications will be subject to an affordability assessment to ensure that applicants are able to afford the loan repayments.
